There’s something called Transactional Analysis.

(This isn’t science class, so I won’t get into the complete science of it all. I’ll have you handle that on your downtime.)

You have 3 modes. The Parent, the Adult, and the Child. Your Parent and Child was programmed into you, from when you were 0-7 years old, based off your upbringing.

This process works in a few ways.

It’s either:

Adult → Adult

Parent → Parent

Parent → Child

Child → Parent

You have 2 types of Parent: Nurturing Parent, and a Critical Parent.

Nurturing is when you sound like you care.

Critical is when you sound like your demanding or nagging.

You have 4 types of Child: Natural Child, Rebellious Child, Professor Child, and Adaptive Child.

Natural is curious and playful.
